CALORIC starts pilot/demonstration plants as new product line

Many developments within the chemical and process industry start from theoretical chemistry on paper, move on to the chemical lab and then are tried in a larger scale pilot or demonstration plant before big investment into a full scale production plant is made.

While larger companies and research institutions used to have their own engineering departments to elaborate the design of a pilot plant and also were capable to build such plant, many times in todays more lean business culture this is no longer the case. Potential customers for pilot plants now require an outside source for supply and installation.
