Caloric awarded contract to build a new methanol reformer in Indonesia
Caloric has been awarded a contract for the engineering and manufacturing of a new hydrogen generation plant from a major chemical company in Indonesia once again. The plant will be able to produce 700 Nm³/h H2 by methanol reforming. A pressure swing adsorption unit following the reforming process will ensure high purity of the product. One specific feature of the plant will be its very compact design allowing to operate a hydrogen generator also on sites with limited space.
The contract includes the basic and detail engineering plus the entire equipment supply of the methanol reformer including the technical assistance during erection, commissioning and start-up of the plant. Industrial operation is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014. The unit will be completely pre-assembled and tested in Germany prior to shipping. This ensures Calorics outstanding quality standards are fulfilled and industrial production of the customer start as scheduled and highly profitable.
By this contract, Caloric emphasizes its strong market position in Asia, as this plant is the sixth plant within the last three years. Caloric is further continuing to strengthen its global market position providing prefabricated production facilities in modular skid design.
